Does anyone have a radar detector installed in a G3 with the Advanced Tech Package? I would like to know if the Prius' radar used for the Dynamic Speed Control and PCS interferes with and/or sets off an installed detector. Thanks.
I do not own one, but just using logic, the answer would be no, it would not interfere with the radar cruise on the Prius. Why? Because if it did, the Prius radar cruise would interfere with the police radar detection systems during normal use, and you know that's not the case. So by deduction, they would have to use different frequencies/technology to accomplish their individual task.
Plug one into the 12V outlet and see .... My guess would be no .... because of different frequencies. REV
I have no issues with my Escort Radar Detector and my Gen III/5/ATP/. The radar cruise uses a very different bandwidth than Police radar.
