    I am looking at buying a 2004 Prius in the UK. The model is 2004 TOYOTA PRIUS T SPIRIT VVI AUTO. Is this a first or second generation Prius? I'm so confused lol

    Is it a weird looking Japanese saloon car? If it is its the gen1. If its a hatchback then its the gen2.

    Its a hatchback. Thanks so much. It has taken me so long to find the answer to this until I stumbled accross this forum. The car dealers don't seem to know about the generations at all.
