That won't happen. The objective is to lighten the car, not make it 250 pounds heavier with 17" rims and sunroof too. We will be very lucky to get NAV or even leather seating in a pHev.

I can't share exactly everything I know about the ordering process, but only ask one thing: Please do not get into my line unless there is a pretty sure bet you'll get the car thru me when it's released. You will screw up the sandbox for everyone else. Lots of you were in lines for the 2004 debut but this car's ordering process is completely different. You will want someone to stick with you all the way, make sure you get the exact car, package, and color YOU want, help expedite the sticker process, and best off: no $$ needed till you're IN it. Good point. Have you driven one of the demo's? From the youtube video's it looks like they have leather/nav? Either way, I'm ready to plug-in!! Looking forward to 2012. thanks.
The demo car I had last year for 6 days had cloth but with heated seats and it did have nav but it was a non stock head unit not available in the production Prius. It's only a demo car so what you see in it is not necessarily what you'll get when it's production ready.
Cool! Did you notice when you were driving the demo that when you slowed down & during braking the batteries were recharging or at least holding there charge. I've read it is possible to get 18 -20 miles on battery consumption alone? Also read the current solar sun roof package weights 65 lbs. Good news!!
If they are smart... and this isn't an engineering thing, they could use the lightweight resin roof that doesn't open like they have for the Prius v.
I know! I like that color too. Hope they come up with a green color that looks good this coming year, and stay away from the avocado metallic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
