I'm using an iPad app called ForScore to display music scores. I have scanned a hardcopy piece of music into individual PDF files (one per page) and now need to combine them into one "book" so that I can load the whole piece into ForScore as one file. Does anyone know what's the best/easiest way to accomplish this? Thanks!
http://blog.nitropdf.com/index.php/2008/05/06/the-free-way-to-create-and-append-pdf-files/ that's one way... there are a bunch of free utilities out there that let you create PDF's and append them into a single document.
Looks like the free PrimoPDF utility doesn't have the combine-PDF feature. Guess I'll need to do some more digging...
Here is an online pdf merger I have used a few times. It works. PDFMerge! - Merge PDF files online for free. If you want something more versatile, keep looking, they are out there. I've seen freeware/open source software to combine pdf files but don't remember where.
Found it! PDFBinder is one of those free and simple apps that does just that, no more. (Hopefully it contains no virus!!) )
Thanks. Yes, I saw this too. The problem I have with this one is that it only does 10 pages max. Also, the fact that you have to do this online doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, especially if you're working with copyrighted material (as most music scores are).
PDF reDirect is my preferred free tool. Makes PDFs that are much smaller than the software that my work pays for. PDF reDirect - The free PDF Creator alternative to pdf995, cutepdf and freepdf
