Anybody have Tein springs on their 2010 Prius? If so how do u like them? Anybody have any critics bout the springs too? I am getting them installed this Saturday along with some 19 inch Katana GTM's (brushed finish face w/black insides) 235/35/19. Maybe I should have posed this question in advance. Getting my work done @ HMS in Westminster (John Sarkisyan) is hookin' it up. Also taking off my smoked tint on my rear tailights and getting them painted a "Candy Cherry" color as opposed to my smoked tint wraps I have instead. Looks way cleaner having it painted. Saw some of their work on their higher end cars. Looks like a OEM factory and u can't even tell it's painted. Hope to post some before and after pics next week. Sorry for long post
I have them. i like them a lot. its more of an even drop (usually rears drop more on other springs), cheaper and still keeps the stock feel.
I am looking forward to the before and after pics. I am considering the Tein's vs the Tanabe's (leaning towards the Tanabe NF's) and also would like to do the red tail lights.
where did you get your teins at? i called a few places and all are out of stock until late in the month.
Well I got 19" Katana GTM rims, 215/35/19 tires, Tein H-techs, paint my tail lights candy cherry smoke tint color (taking off my smoked tint wraps), painting the ambers in front headlights to black, and all the labor for only $1950 cash. I will b picking it up tomorrow morning (4-10-11). Can't wait, I will post my before and after pics once I have them.
Prices I've seen range from $120-$150. Surprisingly they're not very expensive. Most places will ask for $300+ for labor but that's too much. This is one of those opportunities to haggle and they might settle for $150-200. Or, if you're lucky enough to find a hole-in-the-wall shop, I've heard of prices being as low as $100. Remember to also buy yourself a nice Tein shock keychain or beanie if you rock the Tein springs. (I'm all about stimulating the economy )
