Hello! I am purchasing a brand new 2011 Prius Three and wanted to know if it would be worth buying the extended warranty. Toyota has 7/100,000 hybrid, 3/36,000 bumper-2-bumper, 5-60,000 power train as standard. Was thinking about 7/100,000 for everything at a cost of an additional $1800 because I am a newbie. For those of you already owning this awesome vehicle, is it necessary? I wouldn't buy it on a standard car but think this one might be different. Thanks! Joe :third:
you can purchase here on Prius Chat for $1,055.00 for 7 yrs 125k. Many say its not necessary for an extended warrentee on the Gen III. You have up to 3 yrs or 36k miles to decide. Good Luck!!!
Welcome to PriusChat.:welcome: There's plenty of threads here about the extended service contracts, price and value. Search it out. IMO, I don't believe service contracts give enough value.
