I'm looking at buying a set of PVC seat covers from Clazzio. Can anyone tell me if the PVC inserts are like vinyl or somewhat like leather? My 2007 VW Jetta had leatherette seats and I love them and was wondering if the PVC inserts are similar to that. Also, I was wondering if I should get the leather insert or straight PVC. Any advice?
Bingo. PVC is vinyl. Leatherette is a fancy name for vinyl / fake leather. Regarding which one to purchase, leather is more...softer/nicer to the touch vs PVC. When leather wears, you see the grains and other layer of dyed/non-dyed leather, when PVC wears out, you see that it resembles plastic. For light use, you can't tell the difference unless you really are being anal and picky.
My seats are at the FEDEX place today! I did get the PVC and I will be installing them this weekend. $240 with tax and shipping seemed like too good of a deal to pass up.
