Hi everyone, I have a 2004 Prius, the Red triangle came on intermittently and went off so I changed the 12V battery last night, after changing it the red warning light went off and everything seemed okay. Today while driving, the warning light came back on. I checked the battery voltage via diagnostic mode on the cars computer and the specs are what they should be. I noticed the following error codes in the computer: 01-D5, Sub-code: 190-30-8 01-DC, Sub-code: 190-B7-8 01-DC, Sub-code: 1C6-4D-F Not sure if these are what is causing the problem, but thought I would post them. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks
01-D5 is a registration error in the AV-LAN (Audio Visual Local Area Network) 01-DC is a communication error in the AV-LAN. The subcodes are clues to which components on the network are having the problem. I think these codes are AV diagnostic codes read from the MFD. I don't know if this is the source of the Red Triangle. I think you need to read the codes from the Data Link Connector to see if you have any Powertrain codes or other codes with a Toyota scan tool or equivalent.
Pop the hood while in Ig On or Ready and see if the inverter coolant pump is running. That would be a typical cause of getting the red triangle after driving for a while, and having 12V battery problems. This would be trouble code P0A93. Otherwise, get the codes read with a scan tool. It cannot be done from the MFD.
