After the whole PSN hacking debacle, Sony is offering identity theft protection via https://www.allclearid.com/sony. I got my activation code (since I have a PS3 and an account) but haven't used it yet. Has anyone used them before? I'd never heard of them prior to this debacle and all the media coverage on this (such as Sony offers free Debix identify theft protection for PSN and Qriocity hack victims in US -- Engadget).
After HealthNet HMO got hacked, they offered two free years of Debix. An interesting system, after you set it up, it actually telephones and emails alerts to you. You hear your own voice (prerecorded) and then you must answer a security question to get the info. I've received one call in the last six months on an issue. I'm happy with it for now.
