One or Two?

    Checked the air pressure the gen III tempa-spare today - prior to family vacation.

    Noticed only one tow bolt nested in with the jack, yet there are two knockouts to accommodate them on the front bumper.

    Am I missing something? :confused:

    You can use it on either side. I can imagine some circumstances would make it difficult or impossible to use on one side versus the other. So they only provide one, but there's two places to use it.

    You only need one. There's one on each side of the front bumper just in case you decide to go off the road on the left instead of the right ;).

    No. While your Prius had both bolts mounted for its Pacific cruise, Toyota gave you only one, and kept the other. The plastic holder doesn't even have a space for a second one.

    I bought a second one. They're handy places to tie down loads (in my case boats) on the roof.
