Greetings! We whent out to our 08 Prius, and the alarm was going of. After silencing it, it will not start, locked it up, and took my car. Is there a reset piriod after silencing the alarm, or a manual reset?, or did this happen because of a low, or dying battery? This is the first problem we have ever had with the car, any help would be appriciated!

As Richard suggests check the little aux battery in the trunk using the software check on the link he provided. Its very easy. I would bet the farm your battery has gone dead before maybe more than once and has seen a jumpstart. This little battery really goes to hell after it goes dead. Starts to sulfate quickly, then will never take a full charge again and then all kinds of weird things start happening. Plus it hammers your mileage too as the inverter has to run extra hard to charge it. Its only what about 90% of all posts on this forum are about.
