    i have seen plenty go for around that though on ebay and such ... i dont mind high mileage .. but everytime its already been sold to someone else ;) its worth a shot i figured

    At that price though we're talking really high mileage or that of the salvage variety. You're right however, they're out there. Hope you get one! :thumb:

    There is one near me in that price range : 2004 Toyota Prius, $7,900 - Cars.com

    No idea if that link will work or not. If not, search 32301 area code. It's a loaded 2004 with 62k miles and navigation.

    Try looking in the Michigan, NY area. Prices are lower up there. The eastern seaboard seems better as well. Use searchtempest.

    I just bought a 04 with 71k miles for 10k in Michigan U.P. last week. Car would easily sell for $14k here in Minnneapolis.

    I was hoping to be in the $7-8k range as well, but at that price your definitely gonna have mileage in 125-160k range. And your first question should be: "clean title? or rebuilt?"
