My 2006 Prius front passenger seat (leather) sqeaks constantly. Sounds like styrofoam rubbing against styrofoam. Been to Toyota dealer three times and they have not been able to solve the problem. Sqeak only gets worse. Am I the only one driving a GenII Prius with this problem?
does the seat physically move from its location? I've seen this with heavy people driving small cars.... try tightening down the bolts that hold the seat to the rails?
Thanks for the suggestion. My seat does not seem to be loose in the way you describe, but I will check the bolts anyway. It squeaks when no one is sitting in it And when there is a person or other weight in it. I can pull the back of the seat toward the driver's seat and the squeak stops. Can't drive very far pulling the empty seat's back toward me.
