Hi All! We're picking up a 65k 2007 Level 5 today. Been reading about it since last night and can't wait. Question? If it has backup camera is it likely it has NAV. (I'm sorry, I know I have the answer to these questions a a few hours but I'm pretty excited!) We were told it was Level 5 but I don't remember seeing the buttons for the Nav system. I did see one one of the menus when my wife was driving to set some about NAV ON or OFF. Now we're wondering if it really has NAV built in. It had fancy floor mats, Bluetooth, a fancy screen and other stuff I didn't get a chance to play with. Sorry to sound so noob about this but.... it's killiing me waiting for them to open this morning so I can go check on all the stuff I read about here tonight! BTW, I'm an avid Corvette Forum Member and get into how to Modify and/of Fix anything that goes wrong with my cars so I'll be a regular around here I'm sure! Thanks for the information you've already shared and looking forward to sharing back with ya'll! Steve
Welcome, Steve - and good luck with your newly purchased Prius. If your car has option package 5 then it should have NAV. However several lower packages are equipped with the backup camera but not the NAV, so the presence of the backup camera does not guarantee installation of NAV. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...-2007-prius-std-features-option-packages.html
Welcome To PC - Why not call the dealer and ask. Either way I am sure you will enjoy the 2007 Prius and The Great MPG
A 2007 Package 5 has everything except leather. Easy things to look for: fog lights & HID headlights. MFD display changes to rear camera when in reverse. 6 disc CD changer There are 3 buttons down the right side of the MFD: Menu, Dest, Map A Package 5 Touring has the same equipment but has 16" wheels, a larger spoiler, & different suspension. Register the VIN at Toyota Owners - Official Toyota Owners Website to get the dealer service history. Enjoy.
that's an upgraded version of my car... mine was fully loaded in 04 but didn't have options for leather... tire pressure monitors and backup camera were added as standard. you also have the upgraded dash material that's more 3D than mine.. and our door panel materials are different because mine peels when it gets too hot... pressing dest, nav, or menu will bring you to the I agree screen. if you saw an option for nav.. it's to have the car auto switch to nav if you leave it on another screen. i turned it off because it's too easy to pick a screen with the steering wheel controls.
We got it. Put about 70 miles on it today. It is a Level 5 package with the Touring options, (16 inch tires, etc) but it does not have leather seats or NAV. The display only has four buttons around it but on the steering wheel there is a MAP button when pushed says something like "device not connected". Well, thanks for the welcome and be catching up on years of great info that seems to be here!
Congrats on the purchase! The NAV on the Prius is overrated, quite possibly the worst manufacture GPS I've used to date. I always pull out my Android phone for navigation instead.
Congrats on the purchase. You will smile more every time you fill up. Keep the maintenance up and your Prius should last you a long time.
