I've got a 2007 Prius loaded with everything and I love it. The navigation package leaves something to be desired, I must say. It is difficult to program, does not accept many street names, and is overall not a great system compared to the GPS I had been using in my Subaru for the past several years. I'm wondering if any update would help and if so, is there a manner of doing so? Thanks!
You can check with your dealer to find out what the latest available DVD version is - it's 10.1 for the G3. Basically, the nav system is crap, and I doubt if an update would give you any better performance or features. I updated by G3 from 9.1 to 10.1, and it didn't show any improvement in anything. Also be prepared for sticker shock when you hear the price of the update. You can get a full featured, portable unit that is much better than the one installed for the price of the upgrade DVD.
