Hi Everyone - I'm new to this forum as the wife of a 2008 Prius owner I need to pick up a chair from Crate and Barrel that has approximate dimensions of 29x32x36" - do you think we can fit it into the prius? I did some looking online, and my concern is the 29" dimension - I read somewhere that the height of the cargo area is 26". The prius isn't here, or I would just go check. I'm trying to avoid using a friend for their truck or SUV. I've looked through other threads, and seen an impressive array of things that have fit into a prius; this chair isn't huge, but sort of bulky. Thanks for your thoughts! Jessica
I think you are correct, it won't fit. I recently had a 36" kitchen cabinet in my 2010. The cabinet was 24" deep and I put it on it's back. It just managed to fit in nicely. My Prius isn't here either so I can't confirm this for you though.
for extra height at the back you can remove the rear floor and empty or remove the pan below... that helped me get a small love seat in there.
Thanks for the responses. Good news - it fit! It took a few tries, and it was snug against the top of the trunk, but it fit! Amazing little car
