I've been reading the user's manual for my 2010 Prius, and it says that the volume of the beep indicator from level 0 to Level 7. By "beep indicator" I mean the one that goes off when locking or unlocking the doors. Does anyone know how to do make this modification, so that it isn't so loud?
I believe the dealer (with use of a laptop computer) would have to make that change but would have to look through the manual again to confirm. Welcome aboard by the way! [edit] I was look in the manual (pg 580) and it says the beep is either on (default) or off. Didn't see a volume setting. It also indicated it must be set my the dealer (or someone with the laptop).
Thanks Spiderman! I was afraid of that... that I'd have to have the dealer do it. Oh well, maybe I'll ask them next time I go in to have it serviced (if I still remember about it then).
i wish i could make my gen II louder. i usually walk around and hit the trunk button to lock so i can see the lights flash. welcome san diego lady!
