Altcar Expo in Santa Monica next weekend (Sept30-Oct1)

    You can test drive the Leaf, Volt, Prius v, Prius PHV, iMiEV, CT200h, HS250h, Camry Hybrid, and over a dozen other hybrids and alternative fuel vehicles, small cars (Smart Car), and see dozens of exhibitors of alternative fuel transportation. Admission is Free.

    Wow! Lots of cars to test drive, many of which I've never driven before. Too bad I'm not too motivated to drive 330+ miles, each way to visit the event.

    i'm really happy to read this.. that's close to me... and it's free... i was starting to get bummed that i couldn't make it to any of these expo's since i can't afford the gas right now. (seriously)

    Although admission is free, parking is $9. The website lists that there is a discount for people that arrive on a bike, and there is info on public transit. I think the $9 is to encourage people to carpool and take alternative forms of transportation.
