There is a "fixed price" dealer, Fitzmall, in the DC area that already has a good price on Prius V's. The one I see is a V (5) model selling at Invoice Price. (about $1500 off of sticker). There is one for sale as I write this. Not sure what will be available when you read my post. Just do the "pull downs" in their inventory. They list the "V's" as a separate model from the regular Prii at: w w w fitzmall dot com (Just saw that, since I only have a few posts, the Board won't let me post the link. Possibly someone with more posts can add the link). I'm not affiliated with them at any way. However, sold my old car to Carmax locally, bought a Camry Hybrid from Fitzmall 3 years ago and drove it back to Texas. The deal was "real" and there were not hidden add-on tricks. They asked if I wanted any add-ons, but no big pressure. They even met me at the airport. I did the deal and was on my way home in about 2 hours. ((of course, YMMV)). Enjoy!
Looks like Fitzmalls prices went up to Sticker and then have come down again somewhat. I'm guessing that they will come down more as inventory arrives.
Now the are back to selling them at Invoice.... I guess that old "supply and demand" rule kicked in again at www.fitzmall.com . It looks like we have Diane on the Left Coast and Fitzmall on the Right Coast. Too bad there isn't a good place for us Texans without a 2-3 day drive home!
