Happy birthday, Danny!!!! Has it really been 8 years? November of 2003 was when I placed my order for my Prius, after reading glowing reviews on line. My car came in January, but I didn't discover Prius Chat until February. I was very disappointed in my mileage (29 mpg, in January, in North Dakota, at 20 to 30 degrees below zero, on a ten-minute, 3-mile commute). It was thanks to Prius Chat that I learned about the effects of cold temperatures and short commutes. With the lowest mpg on the site, I took comfort in that fact that I was also consuming less gasoline than anyone else on the site. While others were actually taking the longer route in order to register lower mpg numbers, I figured it was more important to minimize gas usage than to earn bragging rights in the video game. Thanks, Danny. If it had not been for you I might have remained disappointed in the car. Happy birthday!
