Hello all, has anyone purchased a steering wheel cover for the v yet? Any idea if it's the same measurements as the gen 3? I'm looking at Wheelskins, but they don't yet list a size for the 2012 v at all.
Betchya $.02 they are exactly the same steering wheel save the button positions. btw, there are a few good threads here with close up pics of wheelskins leather on 3rd gen Prius steering wheels. Little heads up on that .... it doesn't look nearly as good as OEM leather wrap on a 2010/11. Why? The leather goes over those 2 silver spokes. See the threads here.
According to Wheelskins it's the same size, yeah. I ordered one and will post results. I know it won't look as good as factory leather - wish that had been an option - but the plastic wheel just doesn't feel great.
Installed the Wheelskin for a Gen III (size) on my V this morning. While I didn't do the prettiest job, it wasn't nearly the horror story I've heard. Took about an hour. As expected, the spokes are a challenge, and I didn't do them that well. I could see it taking maybe 2 hours if you did a very nice job, fancy lacing, etc, but it's not that hard.
