Please help. I am looking for a Gen III Prius, used, year 2010-2011. Trying to keep it under $20,000. Yesterday after browsing several dealerships / online, I came across this deal coming from a large VW dealership that received this Prius as a trade-in (old owner wanted an SUV). The salesman tried to help me but wasn't too helpful as he didn't know much about Prius (they sell VW) They were advertising it online as a "Prius with Navigation". When I showed up, I was surprised it was actually a Prius Five with all bells and whistles. So let me know...should I pull the trigger? Toyota Prius Five 2010, 43K Miles, final negotiated price is $15,700 Everything is in PRISTINE condition. Silver Color, Grey Leather. Again, everything is in Excellent condition...looks like new. Miles are higher than I would have liked ( I wanted something under 30K), but all of the extras on this car make up for those miles. Let me know.
I just checked my 2010 brochure and leather seats were available only on the level IV or V Prius. The list price was $25,800 for a level IV and $27,270 for a level V. So it sounds like a good deal.
Have you checked its carfax record? While the price offered to you is ultra low for a Five with nav, I'd be suspicious it was in an accident at that price. Best wishes, sounds like a great deal if the history is clean.
JA5 Yes that is it. I just bought it! Ran Carfax and came out with only one owner. So far it all looks amazing. I am playing with the self-park as we speak....lol
I should add that total price after taxes and title was $18,024 ($15,700 ++) Also, the salesman was a gentleman. I only had one complaint about the car, which was that the driver's seat was "jeans" stained. When I went to pick car up he had a private cleaning company "stain" the seat to the factory leather color and now it looks like new. Dealer was very willing to sell...something about still being on 2011 on their books and needed another couple of sells to reach their goals.
If it's got self park then it has the advanced technology package. (Lane Keep Assist, Intelligent Parking Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre -Colission System) That was another $4500 on top of the $27,270 sticker.
For reference, http://web.archive.org/web/20090609.../toyota-announces-prices-for-2010-89249.aspx? were the original 2010 Prius prices. They've gone up a few times since then.
Congratulations! I'm totally jealous of your beautiful rims. I'm in total happy disbelief you were able to get this vehicle for nearly $10k under listing/asking price (TTL not included). What a deal - enjoy it!!!
