Hi all, this is my first post and I'm hoping to get some advice. We are looking at 2 Prius v. A 3 & 5 Trim level no ATP. Before I get into too much debate with the dealer I'm working with I wanted to know how you did on pricing. He has offered $650 over invoice on each but that still seems a little high from what I'm reading elsewhere. We will have one trade that hasn't been factored in yet but I know what it's worth and won't take a hit there. They aren't a Truecar participant citing customer disappointment issues. Thanks for your input! w
In reading other threads I see mention of a preferred dealer list but can't find it. Can anyone point the way? Thx! W
I think some people can rattle off a list of places if they had a rough idea where you might be looking.
Your location would be a far better help at getting an answer. Although after a few hits of acid some of the members here might know where "over the rainbow" is ... but I don't!

Lol Diane! It's just the place I wish I was to get away from the Great Lakes winter blahs. I'm on the wrong coast to come see you. Anywhere within 2-4 hours of Columbus OH is good. I'm north of here but that's a good middle point of this flat state. Any feedback from the forum on what is about average right now ie MSRP OR $100 over invoice somewhere in between? My Truecar quotes are coming in higher than what I've talked about with a guy locally. I'm not out to go below dealer cost but Id like to go to as low as possible within reason. I'm hoping buying 2 may encourage motivation with whoever we make a deal with. W
Hmm. Well the dealer has agreed to $300 over invoice and I took it. Hopefully I didn't get skinned alive. It falls under "great deals" on Truecar. Dianne being in the business do you have any idea what is average on the west coast? W Awaiting magnetic gray v3 and blue ribbon v5
We west coasters seem to have it better in terms of Prius pricing, there are just so many damn tree huggers out here Anyway, Dianne just made a post, she's got 2 v3s that are roughly 500 below invoice and a few v5s that are roughly 200 under invoice. I'd say those prices are typical of any California Toyota dealership in an urban area.
Thanks pdp. If I could get out there and make a deal that would save money I would. But I think I'd spend more on airfare and shipping than I can buy locally. Right now it's just hard to get what we want. I was told the one they didn't have was across town and no problem to get but apparently it has become so. I'm about to give up and try again another time. I hate this process and I don want to settle. W
