That's one of the things I'd like to see changed, along with manually programing the Nav while the car is in motion. There should be a proceedure to reprogram that,or a hack. There's no reason why my passenger can't operate the settings while I drive. If Toyota wants me to never take my eyes off the road, they better make heads-up display standard.
That assumes the freezing temps jump out of nowhere... and bite you in the cold tail end. Possible, not likely. I still agree they are hidden down there!
That is another excellent point. If there is weight in the passenger seat... that person should be able to program the nav.
Believe it or not, Northern California does get cold. It's not 70 and sunny ALL the time... It's been in the mid 40's when I leave for work the last couple of weeks... I like the instant gratification of having my nice person warmed up by the time I get down the street. LOL
As a person who has never had heated seats before getting my Prius, I must say I really like them a lot, even if the buttons are in a slightly difficult place to get to. We have had an early spring here in Arkansas, at least so far, and I have only had a couple of occasions to try them out, but they are a welcome feature .
