You have to laugh, well I do. Maybe it's my childish sense of humour but the Borat version of the Kazakhstan Anthem was used by mistake at a Medal Ceremony in Kuwait. You just knew sooner or later it was going to happen. I bet there's a chap in the London Olympics office double checking that he's got all the correct versions as we speak. I felt like after watching that movie I wasted 90 minutes of my life. I will admit, it had some good one-liners in it, and I do find it humorous that this was done. So, if you have a childish sense of humor, I'm right there shoulder-to-shoulder with you in that line!
It's awfully childish to laugh at something like this, but I'm laughing. That's really hilarious. FWIW, I think our anthem is worthy of ridicule also. But then, I'm a one-world kind of guy, and I oppose nations and borders on principle. I thought Borat was stupid and hilarious, just as the Stooges are stupid and hilarious.
What makes it funny was the guy played it by accident. If he played it on purpose, that would have been just offensive. So yeah, hella funny.
As others have said, the childish potty humor is not what I usually laugh at, but still found Borat hillarious. I bet one of the biggest regrets Sacha Baron Cohen will have is not filming enough content for a Borat II and Borat III, because once Borat was released he was too well-known to pull a [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candid_camera]Candid Camera - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] again.
^ I wonder. Some folks will recognize him. Some won't. I loved the movie, but it's been a long time since I saw it, and if he approached me on the street, I might not remember who he was. I HOPE I would laugh at his silliness even without knowing who he was.
