Hi All, Traded in my 2000 Chevy Impala with 179,000 miles on it for a 2010 Prius III with 20,500 miles. Nothing to fancy feature-wise besides bluetooth, although it feels like I stepped into another world coming from that Impala. It's Cert. Pre-Owned and I got the dealer to come down to $19,000 out-the-door (after trade, taxes, docs and tags, which totaled to be about $2,000). They even beat the credit union's rate for us and gave us 4.25% for 72-months. Anyways, I think we got a pretty decent deal out of them, especially since their listed price was $22,000 before papers. But the most important thing is that we're pretty happy with our choice.
I believe OP is saying that he got it for $17k after trade in + $2k TTL. He didn't list his trade in details or final price of the prius, so its difficult to say whether it was a good deal or not. But if OP is happy, then it must've. Congrats and welcome!
Under $20k sounds decent as long as it is a clean non-smoking vehicle and so forth. I believe a 2012 Two starts at $24k. I understand there are many 2010 lease returns in circulation right now. That may keep the used price down a bit if the dealers are not taking gas prices into account. Mike

It must be a life changing experience going from a clunker Chevy to a awesome 3rd Gen Prius I prepped myself up by renting Prius since 2009 and now have one on order You'll like the car and this forum is THE place for Prius anything. Most people here are nice and a few are like an alligator The forum seems to quiet down late night and gets real busy and the server slows down during the day. I believe the owner is working on the speed thing. So now that you have the Prius experience, when you gonna buy a second one Mike :tea:
