After taking delivery of my new c Four, I was checking in the glove box and found these. They are made of soft rubber and are 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 1/2". Anyone else found these in their glovebox? And have any idea what they are for?
They are plugs that are suppose to cover some holes on the underside of the chassis. If you search on here you can find a picture someone put on here as to where to look under the car to see if they were installed or not. The dealer is supposed to install these plugs as part of the dealer prep.
Rubber body plugs that your dealer SHOULD have installed. Go back and get it done, don't let them charge you.
Thanks guys. I searched and found some info on where they go. Sounds like I can just slip under the c and pop them into place I'm constantly amazed at the wealth of knowlege here!
This post helped me install them: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-main-forum/2884-rubber-plugs-2.html#post25468 When I first inserted them, they stuck out just a bit but after gently pushing around the rim of the plug, they seated themselves perfectly flush with the underbody of the car. It only took a few minutes -- easier than a trip back to the dealer.
