    Other than the infotainment center what are the biggest changes between the 2010 and the 2012?

    Led daytime running lights, different taillight design, no more sliding armrest, with the second cup holder now always exposed.

    They put 3-door smart key on the Prius Three.

    I love the smart key feature. I never have to take my keys or fob out of my pocket anymore. :cool:

    They didn't have the smart key system in the 2010?

    They only had the 3-door SKS for the IV (four) and V (five), not the III (three), but the 2012 has it now on the 3 as well.

    They added the "Jetsons" sound effect thingy for when you are driving slow. Pedestrian warning sound, or whatever it's called.

    So they just had the smart key system for one door only on the 2010 (2)?

    The 2010 2 and 3 both only had ONE door sks, the four and five had THREE door sks. With 3-door, you can open the passenger side door, the driver side door, or the liftback...all by touch when the key is near. With the 1-door, I believe, only the driver door has the sensors in it.

    Cool, and I assume that includes being able to start the car with the key in your pocket even with the 2010 2?

    Seems like you couldn't stream music through bluetooth before the 2012, is that right?

    Yep. One door smart key on 2010 Prius II and III also 2011 Two and Three. IV / Four and up got 3 door.

    Now, 2012 Three all gained USB, nav, 3 door sks, touchscreen, but the audio is a notable downgrade. Heard it with me own ears.

    Speaking for the Australian-spec models: i-Tech and Base...
    Rear quarter windows have heating elements.
    Tail-light design change.
    Repositioned fog lamps.
    Daytime running light.
    Hybrid System Indicator is now subtly shaded to give more 3D appearance.
    Steering wheel buttons vertical, so volume up is now up, not right.
    Removable cup holder previously under the armrest is now permanent and accessible through armrest cutaway.

    last generation of the prius last from i think 2004-2009(six years) I do not aware of any facelift like what they did to the current generation.
    I am very surprised that they did that. New design front bumper, better radio....
    I wonder if toyota is planning to shorten the cycle of the length of the new body design......

    When I asked the sales man, he said they also made the interior roomier (from 2010 to 2012).. Not sure how true that is, though..

    Don't think that's true at all.
    On the 2010-11, you could stream music over BT, but you had to have the nav system.
    There's at least one mistake in that post though. The backup camera isn't included on model 2. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a change made after the announcement.
