My hatch door opener button leaves a sticky black residue on my fingers when I press it to open the door, has anyone replaced this piece? Looks like two screws holding a black rubbery cover, mine somehow is become almost soft and moldable, leaving marks on your fingers when used. Any idea on cost/part number to order one?
Howdy, Thats a well known issue and it happened to me also. The replacement opener is a much better rubber. There's alot of posts about it including how to install it yourself as I doubt your under any warranty for it. Search "hatch melted".
