On my screen this thread is "Uglies car ever?" Someone fussed that you could not buy the ugliest car ever (Fiat Multipla) in the US, so the AMC Pacer is just the ugliest car ever you could buy in the US. The ugliest car still in production in the US would be another topic.
Yeah I see your point. But still, the Juke is so damn ugly. The worst part is people actually buy them. I recently rented Hope & Faith on DVD from netflix. Faith drove a mint condition light blue Pacer in the show. It didn't look as ugly as the Juke though.
I was driving a couple hundred yards behind an Aztek last week and for a sec I thought it was a Prius. Regarding the Juke - if they lowered the chassis and eliminated those huge round front lights I'd like it better. It think it looks a lot like the Prius C concept. I think the new Murano fronts are pretty fugly, especially for the price. What is up with Nissan lately?
Another few cars to throw into the mix- The 2010 Acura TL - so bad that they re-did the front for 2011. Mercedes R class - ugly as sin and expensive as hell - what a match. The G class is ugly too, but it is such a cool car that it gets a pass. BMW 5 Series GT - the backend looks like the Battlestar Galactica On the Juke - I agree that the front is a mess, but the rest of the car is not too bad and it is supposedly a blast to drive. What I think made the Aztec the worst ever is that the car does not have any view that does not make you cringe - the side views are bad and the front and back make your eyes water.
So you're saying that the Prius is just as ugly as an Aztek? I've seen the Aztek and it doesn't really make me wanna puke. It looks on par with the VW Thing. Pretty much any car is fun to drive if you stomp on the gas.
Not "as ugly", but they do look like distant cousins from the rear. I think they look similar from the rear given they have that same flat rear window design. The Prius rear, IMO, is its most unflattering feature...so to answer your question only in regards to Prius's rear design, I suppose "yes".
It's been about a year since my original comments. I saw a Nissan Juke yesterday in person. Yeah...it's pretty ugly. Especially the rear hatch. It looks like it's been put in a compactor and started to be compressed, when somebody decided to stop it, then pull it out and drive it... Ugliest Ever...is going to always be debatable. But I'd say, one of the ugliest currently available is easily assigned to the Nissan Juke.
It's very, very ugly, but so is the Cube. I think the Cube is worse even if the headlights on the Juke in particularly are completely absurd.
I live in an area with a high concentration of Asians and the Juke sells very well around here, I see them around. The turbo-4 is appealing and I think people like the JDM-ness of it. I fluctuate back and forth as far as the looks go, some colors show it off better than others.
