For the gen III prius: I can figure out the thin applique stick-on protector at rear bumper below the threshold of hatch, a film, protecting, sure. I'm looking at the heavier duty (aparently stick-on) protector. A rubber-like device I can drag my golf clubs across. Is it an easy apply by the novice hack? Is there a door-edge guard that works well?
PriusChat Shop : 2010-12 Toyota Prius OEM Rear Bumper Protector [2010BP] - $41.99 Perhaps this is what you're looking for? It's hard plastic and sticks on via adhesives. I've never tried, but sounds simple to me. At only $40, doesn't sound too bad if you're a golfer.
I have this on my 2010 Prius, works great and looks good too! As you can see I'm a golfer too that's why I got one.
That comes standard on the upper two packages in Canada and it works well. I like the fact that it wraps around the lip of the bumper rather than simply covering just the top of the bumper since it's usually the edge of the bumper that gets the most wear (as seen on our 2005 Prius without a bumper protector)
