Yeah, I guess Alien 3 wasn't too bad, but still not as good as the first two. I could have done without Alien Resurrection. Starts to get beyond goofy with Ripley being cloned and carrying on from there. iPad ?
I just came from Avengers, paid $7 for the ticket, I figure $3 to see the awesome batman trailer, $3 to see the awesome promethius trailure, and a waste of a dollar to see the Avengers (it sucked balls)
Especially since this one is made by Ridley Scott. I'd like to see it just for Noomi Rapace (liked her in the Swedish Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series), and Michael Fassbender (playing an android named David...wonder if it's an homage to Kubrick's AI). I'm also going to gauge how much the alien shows up in it: saw some soundbites from Scott saying that this is going to answer some questions from Alien but will not focus on the alien (which has been done to death with 4 Alien movies and 2 A vs P movies).
Interesting. The reviews, both professional and members of NetFlix, are overwhelming positive. I haven't seen it, so no opinion here.
Speaking of Ridley Scott, I see he's going to do a follow-up to Blade Runner. Now, that should be interesting.
Agreed. The Blade Runner sequel / prequel / whatever is going to be a little longer in the making but I heard Scott is committed once he finds the right script. iPad ?
Just saw Prometheus. Not as good as I was hoping it would be. Seemed to take forever for the plot to get some legs, and even then it only managed to crawl.
Prometheus looks faithful to the original plot line. A crew with a gal hero, an evil corporate type, a robot, and 30 snacks.
