I took some time to strip the rear panels to uncover the "guts" of my PiP. and some pictures to fallow......................
Those scroll fans, they would be exhaust fans right? extracting heat/air from the pack and exhausting it into that area beneath the cable storage box? So would that mean that black tube is something like a cold air intake (if you're pulling air out of the pack with 2 fans, then it has to draw air from somewhere)?
I think that is crumple zone space behind the pack and isn't that where the little storage compartment is? The orange cable looks to be the AC mains. Connects to the pack under the left side cooling fan housing. (set1 pic6) Looks like you could get a couple of split CT's (Current transformers) around the single wires right at the connector. I'm thinking onboard kwh meter/recorder. Black ground T's down below the charge port to the fender well. (set1 pic3)
Re: PiP, the mystery electrical guts.... I just add some information over some pictures. The 2 large white blowers are sucking exhausted air ffrom the battery container. Fresh air is introduced trough the black rubber duct from out side the vehicle and the cabin interior rear vent. The battery charger is located underneath the battery container and is a fairly large enclosure with its own pancake blower. Not visible is the batteries connection to the battery charger/manager system. More likely this interconnection is available behind an armor plate between the rear seat and the battery container. The safety plug is actually a service disconnect and doesn't carry a fuse like in the Gen II; I don't know about MY 2010/11.
