    Bicycle racing reminds me of NASCAR racing...in Europe they don't have near the courtesy they do here and there are a crap load of accidents in bike races. In one race an Italian intentionally put his left pedal into my front rim, ripping out all my front spokes and causing a nasty crash....shaved legs are easier to clean up and bandage. I only had road rash. It's not my balance that was the problem, its close or dirty racing.

    Um... sometimes wasn't an option.

    In winter... probably not. In summer, yes. rather than shaving, though, I use an epililator... a million tiny tweezers...

    I'm with Rae Vynn. Summer only. And in Washington State that can be a very short period! I only wear shorts if it is above 79!
