I got my silver Prius trim 3 about 3 months ago and been enjoying it a lot. It seems to me that all 2012 models have the DRL standard but I've noticed that out of the 6 LED (on each side) lights only 4 of them turn on. And that's not only on my car ... Is that by choice or Toyota missed connecting all lights? Thanks, Adrian
Have to look when I get back out there to the Grey Ghost... but did noticed early on an area above the main headlight that had a row that appeared to be LED's but not used...
Look closer through the 6 lenses (5 full, 1 partial). Only the upper 4 have LEDs behind them. The lower lens and a half are merely decorations.
Just like the 2010, this row of 'LEDs' is still merely a decoration. The DRLs are below the turn signals, where the 2010-11 had space for fog lights.
As mentioned, the DRL's only have 4 LEDs which light up, the extra LED looking things in there are for show. And there are no LEDs on top of the halogen equipped models, what appears to be LEDs above them in the housing is aesthetic.
