Hi Everyone, I am wondering if anyone has heard of the Prius V +, and if you know where they are available? I was looking something up on youtube, and I saw this following video featuring the Prius V +. It looks like it is from Germany or Holland/Belgium? Can anyone verify if the Prius V+ exists? Thanks! Please see the Prius Video as posted below: Cheers, John
It is the Prius Alpha in Japan. (always 7 passenger) It is the Prius+ in most of Europe. (Both 5 and 7 passenger) It is the incredibly badly named Prius v in North America. (always 5 passenger)
Yeah, its sad that they don't have there here. Here is the Toyota Europe website for the Prius V +: Toyota Prius + | Toyota UK Sure hope they bring it here. My cousin works for Honda Canada, and when I was looking at getting the Toyota Matrix at the time, I told him that I would get the Honda Civic if they had the Civic wagon. He told me they had the Honda wagon/hatchback in Europe, and that he was sure they would bring it to North America. But, the Prius V has come along, and still no Honda Civic wagon. Sorry Honda, you lost my business, and I am now going on to the Toyota Prius V. Here is that Honda Europe website: Honda (EU) Cars Homepage (I couldnt get the UK or Ireland site to work) Just looking at the other sites, it doesn't look like the Honda Civic hatchback looks very big afterall. Back to my original posting, I just hope they bring the Toyota Prius V + to North America! Cheers, John
This was discussed on the Prius v Forums. It is mostly due to the fact that the cost of the Prius + would not sell well in the US as the 7th seat section would require an Li-Ion battery to make room for the seats. Demographics also showed that there is very little market for the 7 seater version in the US, at least, not worthwhile enough.
