I got a used prius 2005 last month. Everything with it is good but the wind noise from the left side of windshield. I tried to tape many place on left, but the noise still. Does anyone know the source of the noise?
This has been discussed before, but I'm not sure what to search for the thread. Check the underside of the outside rear view mirror. It has some circular tape pieces over the mounting screw holes. If that tape is removed or damaged it creates a whistle. If your tape covering is missing or damaged, cover the holes with some new tape and see if that stops the noise. I hope that does it.
I just bought a used 06 and noticed a lot of wind noise at highway speeds. I bought two new seals from the dealer for the driver's door, installed them and while I was at it sprayed undercoat on the inside face of the outer sheet metal of the door. Now quiet And the door sounds like a Lexus when it closes. All the other door still have that tinny sound when they close, but hey, I only use the driver's door )))
