As much as I appreciate the new forum software and the expense of getting it. It seems to me that an awful of the 'real estate' on the screen is taken up by blank areas in every thread that is posted. Maybe that's the way it's designed but a one line reply to a message takes up inches of blank space under the posting. It would be nice to have less wasted space and see more postings without all the constant scrolling and drilling down. Again, just an observation not a criticism per se. Regards
I agree that there is a lot more wasted screen real estate. Personally I still don't like the new look but we have no choice anyway LOL. Get used to it
Actually it seems to use less screen space. In looking at forums in vBulletin (the old forum software) it filled the screen with big blank areas in the middle of menu bars and lists of messages etc. So the new forum software (XenForo) is more compact on the screen. More well behaved.
Fortunately I don't pay for screen space. I find I can scroll down indefinitely for no additional charge. Tom
sorry, but is there anyway to use old "skin" for the forums? this is all too annoying, with new software making it look drastically different and very annoying imho .
Answered you in another post where you asked the question about getting old view back. So check that message out (see Alerts on the top menu to tell you an answer from me to your other message) It's different but forum software is forum software there's no "drastic" difference. Sections, messages in sections, people reply to the messages.
Because PC display monitors have such higher resolution, if PriusChat didn't take up more screen resolution, they would be "wasting" the unused portion of your screen.
