Installing a 2nd 12volt battery

    will the dc/dc converter handle enough power to charge a 2nd 12v battery? i work out of my car and i dislike turning it on for any reason so i was thinking of adding another 12v to the system with an isolator. is it even possible and is there a ignition live wire in the trunk to tap the isolator into?

    by the way the other one would only be used for powering accessories

    why not just put a deep cycle gel cell in the back?

    And charge it with a solar panel installed inside the back window.

    i was thinking of using a solar cell in the back as well. but i have an older battery that came out of my old car and i was going to connect it up to a cigarette lighter and an isolator so that it can charge while driving and provide extra power to the main 12v battery.

    My guess is yes.

    Of course.

    Nearest ones I know of are the cigarrette lighters up front.
