Looking to get a body kit for my 2012 prius plug in.. I am not having any luck finding anything that fits. Seems like they have body kits for 2012 non plug ins, but I don't think that is the same fitment. Any help?
It is the same. There's nothing really different on a PiP versus a regular Prius that would affect a body kit. The 2010-2011 kits are different compared to the 2012 though, mostly because the front bumper is different. Wald has a 2012 kit that I've seen a picture of. And there's always the Toyota Prius Plus kit.. Japan has a few OEM 2012 kits also. This question would also be better in the Gen3 Mods and Accessories forum.
That helped.. Thanks for the info! So just to be clear, if I get a kit for a 2012 Prius it's the same as a plug in, correct? I think Wald would be sik but sure its pricey... I have a Wald Maserati and the kit supposedly cost $30,000 for the guy who put it on!
Yes, the PiP is the same as the regular Prius except for the chrome/silver accent on the front bumper. The regular Prius's front bumper has a black accent, but the bumper is the same otherwise. The other differences with the PiP wouldnt make a difference as far as a body kit is concerned. A Wald Maserati and a Wald Prius would look nice in the garage
Thousands of dollars of plastic you can bolt on the Prius in order to make it look like... a Prius with thousands of dollars of plastic bolted on! Lower the car and you can also watch said plastic fly off the car when hitting a pothole!
