Most efficient way to charge traction battery while stopped in hot weather?

    Yeah it goes to 1280 RPM if the battery is in the low state ..... and stay there I stop the car NO point to recharge while stopped ...if I KNOW I am going in a minute anways,....

    I've just used to "rev" the engine in P after I was forced to start(boot) the car using starting cables after 12V battery was too discharged and I was not leaving yet, so I needed to recharge 12V battery without going anywhere.

    Only time you should force charge the car in a real world setting is before using it in neutral for a little while, such as in a drive through car wash.
