AT LAST! Barcelona Red delivery story

    Just saw on my online banking that my $8.00 check to the DMV has been cashed!
    Hope it means that I am definitely getting the HOV stickers. Whew...

    We purchased our 2006 Silver Package 7 from Toyota of Gladstone (Oregon)... apparently they have a "red carpet" delivery policy...

    It was raining that day (in fact, it had rained heavily on every single day we had visited that dealership over several months) and we were fully expecting to pick up a clean but wet Prius.

    Instead, they bring the car into the showroom, and the salesman towels it off with a pile of clean towels all by himself. Then, they go over all the car features, etc., right there in the showroom.

    I wouldn't accept a new car with dirt on the exterior either, but I was pleasantly surprised by all the fuss to make the car clean and "perfect" for delivery. They even showed the receipt for filling the tank with gas before delivery.
