Hello everyone, I bought some Sliverstar bulbs and one is already out and I cannot find the receipt (10 Months). I do a lot of driving and like a better bulb. I have a stock 2007 Prius. Any Suggestions on which bulbs to get? Thanks, JM
The silverstar bulb are a good halogen bulb. Any chance u touched the bulb while installing it? This can cause premature failure due to the oil from ur skin causing a hot spot on the bulb.
You say you do a lot of driving but you do not say if you use your headlamps in the daytime. If you do use them in daylight for every 10,000 miles you drive the lights are on for about 1000hrs, the average life of tungsten bulbs. Also while I agree the Silverstars give out a whiter light, as with all bulbs of this type they do not last as long due to the higher temperature that the filaments run at to give the whiter light. Most cars that run the headlights during the day as DRL's run them at a lower brightness (voltage) to increase the life of the bulb.
