I bought a set of all dark gray Clazzio PVC covers for my 2010 gen III. I was all about them at first, but with this recent 110* + weather every day lately the thought of jumping in the Prius and sitting on the hot seat is just not appealing. (The obvious biggest con of leather seats) The covers are only 2 or 3 months old and in mint shape. The back seat has only been sat in once since they were installed (besides my 1 yr old son who obviously is up in a car seat). What do you think they're worth? I'm guessing the weight of them would kill most cross country deals due to shipping... Im just trying to figure out if it makes sense to just get rid of them or not.
Thanks for the reply Jay. I have "limo" ceramic tints on all the back windows but all of the fronts are "clear" per California law. My commute is way too long and I have had plenty of tint tickets over the years... I just don't like dealing with the tickets anymore.
I've had Ceramic tint on all my vehicles and usually I come back to a non scorching bottom, warm but not scorching, might be due to a tinted windscreen too
They sell clear films that are legal on the front windows and windshield. They're a little more pricy from what I hear but they do an excellent job at blocking the UV rays and heat
Yep Well I have 50% on the front and 38% on the sides but before I had 50% all the way around on my prior car..worked like a charm
Yeah, I have 35% on all my windows and it works well. Also have window visors so I can crack the windows when parked to let some air circulate. On my Tundra and 08 Prius the windshield was tinted and worked wonders. My 08 had 5% all around and 70% on the windshield.
The solar roof works awesome I have never heard of uv blocking clear tint before. Gonna have to check that out. Mike Mobile on my Asus
Kevin- Most windshields seem to be done with Llumar Airblue 80. It's an 80% film. I've called around and most places want between 150 and 200 to have it done. I just went on Llumars website and did a dealer search for my area.
50%? hit up Anthony @ Promax...or if you want Huper; it'll be expensive but its, Sal @ Best Tint. Say you're a buddy of Jay's to Anthony... He'll take care of you
i find it funny that no one answered russ's original question. katskinz run from 1-1.5k installed. probably less than katz. jay - i got my ho at sal's. ive decided to get my taillights wrapped after i tried in frustration to get all the damn edges myself. do you think anthony is just as good as sal?
Anthony for tinting or wrapping? For wrapping he outsources to John @ JS Design. I have his contact info, but I know other people that wrap as well. LMK Thanks =]
