So where is Marion, Illinois? do not know, but it's somewhere on our way to Miami. No flat tires yet....nener,nener .... and today's readout on mileage is 64 mpg. Yesterdays also. Since the speedo seems to be the "problem" with generosity I'll have a better idea when I get the whole 6200 mile trip figured out. But it's around 60 calculated so far. Not bad. Figgin' rain started today around St. Louis and it's supposed to rain from here to Miami. I have been able to plug in each night so far, not tonight though, but with over 500 miles per day it really doesn't matter much. If I get more free WiFi I'll report again. Chris
sounds like a fun trip, except for the rain. keep us posted. what kind of speeds are you traveling at? how comfortable is the pri?
Hey more free internet...lol. We're now in Macon, GA....home of the corrupt cops. I might just buy one before I leave. I travel at zactly 60 if possible. Sometimes these freeways demand you drive faster or be driven over. Coming out of Atlanta I actually had it up to 70 .... as were all 4 lanes. My fingers were wrapped around the wheel sooooo tight. And tonight we again had exactly 64 mpg on the display. I also wanted to see just how close the display was without having anything in the traction battery so I filled up earlier today and made certain it was full....I could see the gas at the top. Then tonight just before stopping at the motel I filled up again...and again made certain the gas was visible. With nothing in the traction bat all day I got exactly 63.1 mpg. I'm actually amazed since my speedo is out by 1.5 mph at around 60 mph according to my gps. (No, not the horrible indash one.) I'm plugged in right now but as I said earlier, I don't think it matters much over 500 miles. But it will help a bit. I'm so impressified with this car...at least the mpg part. Both my wife and I hate this car's lack of storage compared to our 2009. The door panels don't hold much in the lil cup size holder, the actual cup holders are too high since my elbows hit any cups we have in them and the center storage is so much smaller. I hate not having the small fold down dash cubby under the radio of the 2009, and the actual glove compartment in this one holds less. Other than the lack of storage this car is great. Tomorrow we'll be on the coast of FL....Fort Pierce to be exact. Oh, the rain held off today but the news is forecasting it for the whole State of Florida tomorrow. If I get free WiFi (yes, I'm cheap) tomorrow night, I'll report again. P.S. Tires still holding air.
Holy moly, did I find out the hard way several days ago how big of a problem this really is! I'll never be putting a cup in that cup holder again, that really hurt!
