I want a beep on lock and 2 beep on unlock so that I can get a peace of mind when hitting the remote key... I've gone thru a number of forums/discussions/threads and most of which mention that SKS equipped prius beep on lock, but why not mine??
not sure, but maybe the beep can be turned off at the dealer and you need to have them turn it on? it is very quiet beep and hard to hear if it's noisy. do the lights blink?
Yes the lights do blink and no beep I ensure! My friend's prius (With NAV) does beep! Is there any way we can DIY? I live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia (Southeast Asia) and so clueless to find a reliable dealer.
Ok, it seems like I couldn't get a handful help, but fortunately I fingered it out myself! The external buzzer was missing in my Prius 2005 SKS so I bought Camry hybrid buzzer which sounds louder and my dealer confirmed the device is really compatible, so I decided to put it in... and it works like charm!
Nice! But why was your car missing the speaker? Sorry no one could help you out. Next time post in the GenII sections. A lot of the tech guys don't check the newbie forum very much.
