is there any way i can play my ipod through my 2005 radio? is there a jack in the back? thanks for your reply.
1st off welcome to the forum. My 06 had an aux input in the center console. I just used that for my phone, ipod & my daughters dvd player
That is correct. It didn't exist as an option until model year 06. I'd highly recommend a cassette adapter if you have a tape deck.
Yep. Search for aux at 2G Prius (2004-2009) Standard and Optional Equipment (Some Countries) | PriusChat.
This is a problem that can be solved with a little effort and a little money - you have options. Start researching aftermarket head units - there are good full-feature devices with ipod/usb/bluetooth inputs you can buy for $70-$100, and install yourself with just a few other trim pieces. F8L posted an awesome how-to for stealth mounting one in a Gen ii. There are other ways to integrate an ipod input that cost about the same amount and require similar amounts of installation if you want to keep the factory look. Search for "ipod car interface." phone using an app
