Prius nav or SIRI (iPhone)? I can't figure it out. They sound very similar. But sometimes SIRI is just so dumb it makes her really unattractive. Guys?
LMAO - I told my wife the same thing after talking with SIRI on my iPAD. I also rented a car with a Garmin Nuvi and the Nav Lady on this unit also sounded exactly like the other two !! Everyone must hire the same woman for all voice commands
Jill is the lady for the Gen II nav system (and this is a Gen II thread). The voice changed for the Gen III. It sounds more like a hard drinking smoker. I don't know if this is from a different voice, or it's just changes in the reconstruction of that voice. Tom
Sorry about jumping in a Gen II thread but I just could not resist. If the Nav Lady changed between II and III it was to be more like the other nav ladies.
My wife calls the Gen II helpfull voice, "the bitch" ... because after all, I listen to the the NAV voice when apparently I ought to be listening to she who must be obeyed. The conflict of competition.
In aircraft we always called the female voice "Bitching Betty". She usually had something useful to say, such as "Engine fire left, engine fire right, hydraulic failure...", all done in a very calm female voice. Tom
You guys HAVE to try the Australian GPS voice on the Garmins. She can tell me where to go all day long.
I assume the voices are different for different country's. The English version of SIRI is male and the Prius voice is a well spoken lady.
