Just thought I'd say hi. I've been browsing this forum for a few days and there's a lot of great info here. So far I'm really enjoying the new car. I replaced a 2004 Honda Civic that had over 240k miles and was beginning to fall apart. This car is a huge step up over the Civic as far as the interior and gadgets are concerned. It's also a better looking car IMO. It's also a huge step up in fuel economy over my other vehicles (see sig)
Barcelona red with the 17" wheels. It's actually a pretty good looking car contrary to what I thought before we seriously looked at one.
Welcome from another Michigan Prius driver Although Im not envious of the mpg's, I'm sure the GTO you have is a blast to drive!!
Well that is OK, it will have to do. Just checking if we had another Blizzard Pearl recruit. Actually BR was first on my list and the BR next... white wasn't even on my long list. Glad I got it though.
The GTO has actually been a really good car. It's got 80k miles and I've had only one minor repair (other than regular maintenance like tires & brakes). It's fun to drive too, but the Ford Lightning is a LOT more fun. It's heavily modified and has ~500 horsepower. It goes through the quarter miles in about 12.5 seconds...hence the 10 mpgs. But the truck and the other cars rarely get driven since my wife and I usually carpool to work.
BR was first on my list and we were able to find one with all the options we liked, so we didn't look too seriously at the other colors. However, I think the Blizzard Pearl is pretty sharp.
I sure did. Haven't posted on there in a while though. The Trans Am only has 7k miles so I don't have the need to go on there much.
Heck it's barely broke in. I had a 2000 T/A. Despite what the video editor put on the screen, I was not on nitrous. Just heads/cam and a 4400 stall. I had to stab the brakes before the end to stay in the 12s or get booted for not having a 5-point harness. I got booted anyway. lol
NBM was my favorite color. My C5 and our Camaro were also NBM. My truck was close with Indigo Blue Metallic. I sold everything off while I was trying to transition between a new career and I didn't like how much they polluted. Gas was crazy expensive too.
I agree, the pollution part sucks, but I figure I can have a couple of fun vehicles if I'm only driving them a few hundred miles per year.
