We have around 18000 miles on our car and we have been getting a noise from the right rear wheel. It only happens first thing in the morning and last for a minute or so. Sounds like the bearing but every time we take it to the dealership, they haven't been able to diagnose it. Anyone have this similar problem?
It's a known problem - though mine started around 900 miles in the summer when it was wet/moist outside, but since it's been colder it hasn't been doing it recently. Check out the link below. 2012 Prius v Groaning Noise | PriusChat
Gabe... look for extensive thread on this under "groaning noise." Lots of us are experiencing this issue, and there has yet to be a resolution. Unless you got it fixed?
I have the same issue and Toyota people are saying that they are looking in to it but no solution found yet. Sound is really irritating
In the Netherlands there is a fix for this problem. The rear disk break mounts are replaced. The part nummers are: 47822-47090 Mounting RR Disc Br Left 47821-47090 Mounting RR Disc Br Right
